OUTREACH

It's an ingrained part of Minotaur's ethos that we want to give something back to the community. As time goes on, we're hosting more and more Charitable events, which either raise money for Charity or cause, raise awareness of serious issues in today's society. Below are a few examples of recent productions that have all given something back:

CABARET

Our annual Cabaret production aims to raise money for a different charity every year, voted for by the company. It always promises to be an event of jovial entertainment, filled with Musicals far and wide. Filled with dancing, singing and crazy costumes and props Cabaret raises over £1,000 for charity every year.

Raising money for:

Breast Cancer Research, Cancer Research UK, ACODO (Assisting Cambodian Orphans and the Disabled Organisation), The Elimu Foundation, The Meningitis Research Foundation, Parasol Project, Emma’s Bubble Trust, Saint Christopher’s Hospice, Action Against Cancer, Blue Apply Theatre Company, MIND mental health charity and University College Hospital Cancer Fund

FEMINIST THEATRE

Minotaur has recently kindled a partnership with Leeway, a local charity that aims to give shelter from those suffering from domestic abuse. It's a cause many of our members fight for in their spare time, and as a company, we strongly support the charity by raising both desperately needed money and awareness. For the past two years, Minotaur has provided feminist theatre including Eve Ensler's The Vagina Monologues, that offers the audience a glimpse into the world of Vaginas and women's rights. This year we aim to put on a different production to fight for feminism so watch this space!
